The Palghat Fine Arts Society awarded Carnatic musician Mannur Rajakumaranunni for his dedication to music over seven decades. Rajakumaranunni, a disciple of Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to Carnatic music. He graciously donated his cash prize back to the Fine Arts Society and encouraged music enthusiasts to support their activities. The event also marked the beginning of the 14th national music festival organized by the PFAS. The ceremony included a vocal concert by Carnatic vocalist Sikkil C. Gurucharan, accompanied by talented musicians on violin, mridangam, and ghatom.
