Rahul clarified that he was in Kozhikode, not Palakkad, and showed his trolley bag containing only clothes. Congress leaders cooperated with the search, with Shanimol Usman waiting for female police officers to arrive before opening her room. Rahul criticized the CPM-BJP alliance for their accusations and questioned the role of the police if someone can walk into a hotel with a trolley bag full of money unchecked.
