Palakkad bypoll in Kerala put off to November 20

The Election Commission of India has decided to postpone the byelection in the Palakkad Assembly constituency from November 13 to November 20 due to requests from political parties and socio-cultural organizations. This change was made to avoid a clash with the Kalpathy Rathotsavam. However, the byelections in the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency and the Chelakkara Assembly constituency will proceed as scheduled on November 13. Vote counting for all three constituencies will take place on November 23.
