Palakkad bypoll date shifted to November 20 for Kalpathi Ratholsavam

The Palakkad assembly bypoll has been rescheduled to November 20 to avoid a clash with the Kalpathi Ratholsavam. The Election Commission also rescheduled dates in 13 other assembly seats. The Wayanad Lok Sabha and Chelakara assembly byelections will proceed on November 13. BJP State President K Surendran welcomed the decision, stating that over 10,000 voters will benefit. Candidates from UDF and LDF also welcomed the move. Sarin and BJP’s C Krishnakumar will take on Mamkootathil in Palakkad. The seat was vacated by Shafi Parambil of the Congress.
