Not Even 5k People Connected, Govt Misled Court: Satheesan | Thiruvananthapuram News

Opposition leader V D Satheesan is considering the next steps after the high court rejected his plea for a CBI probe into the irregularities in the K-FON project. He highlighted that the project, which was supposed to connect 20 lakh people within 18 months, has only connected 5,000 people in seven years. Satheesan also mentioned the public interest litigation filed in the HC regarding the project’s massive loss to the public exchequer and illegal awarding of contracts. He criticized the government for misleading the HC and stated that the fight against corruption will continue. Additionally, Satheesan welcomed the HC decision to dismiss the case against former Congress MLAs accused of assaulting female Left MLAs during an assembly ruckus in 2015. He alleged that the government and CPM are trying to delay the trial to avoid convictions.
