New centre of excellence launched at Cusat

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) recently launched the Daikin Excellence Centre on its Thrikkakara campus. This partnership between the university and Daikin will provide training in air conditioning systems for students and staff. The centre will offer internships and workshops for students, and is located at the thermal lab in the School of Engineering. Kanwaljeet Jawa, chairman and managing director of Daikin Air Conditioning India (P) Ltd., and Dr. P.G. Sankaran, Vice-Chancellor of Cusat, were present at the launch event.
