In Kannur, the Thalassery Principal Sessions Court will review former District Panchayat President PP Divya’s bail plea, related to the death of former ADM Naveen Babu. The police are expected to remand Divya into custody soon. Meanwhile, the state government and revenue department are silent on the controversies surrounding the ADM’s death. The inquiry report by Land Revenue Joint Commissioner A Geetha has been submitted to Revenue Minister K Rajan. The report, which clears the ADM in the petrol pump issue, will be presented to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The court cited the collector’s statement in denying bail to Divya, stating it did not prove the ADM took a bribe.
