Mynagapally hit-and-run case: case against five for assaulting accused

The Sasthamcotta police have filed a case against five people for assaulting Ajmal, the accused in a hit-and-run case where a woman was fatally knocked down by a car. The group of people followed Ajmal’s car after he fled the scene and stopped him, manhandling and hitting him with a helmet. Ajmal and co-accused Sreekutty were reportedly drunk, and the police will screen them for synthetic drug use. Motor Vehicle department officials have taken steps to suspend Ajmal’s license.
