During the Onam festival, the Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union (TRCMPU) of Milma had a successful run, making a profit of Rs 32 crore from sales of milk, curd, ghee, and other dairy products. They sold over 38 lakh litres of milk in four southern districts and 3 lakh litres of curd in just four days. On September 14 alone, they sold a record 13.62 lakh litres of milk. Additionally, they sold 294 metric tonnes of ghee during the festival. The TRCMPU had made sure to have enough stock to meet the high demand during the festive period.
