Mar Thomas Tharayil enthroned as Metropolitan Archbishop of Changanassery in Kerala

Mar Thomas Tharayil was enthroned as the new Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry in a ceremony held at St Mary’s Metropolitan Church in Changanassery. The ceremonies were officiated by Major Archbishop Raphael Thattil, with the outgoing Metropolitan Mar Joseph Perumthottam participating. The day began with a procession to the church, followed by liturgical services and the official crowning of Mar Thomas Tharayil as the Metropolitan. Various dignitaries and religious leaders delivered speeches and messages during the event, including the Union Minister of State for Minority Welfare. The ceremony also included a farewell for the outgoing head of the archdiocese.
