Manorama’s Hortus leaves lasting impression in Kozhikode

The first edition of Manorama’s Hortus in Kozhikode has come to an end, but the impact it has left on Kerala’s cultural scene is lasting. The three-day event brought together around 500 guests, including international participants, for meaningful discussions and shared ideas across six venues and 150 sessions. Key highlights included the symbolic planting of the Malayalam letter “Aa” by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, emphasizing the importance of creative freedom in India. Prominent figures like novelist TD Ramakrishnan and filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan also announced new works at the event. The closing ceremony featured a musical performance by Hariharan, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
