The Kerala Water Authority (KWA) is conducting a survey to identify land for an eight-kilometer road project from Kattakada to PTP Nagar to supply Neyyar water to Thiruvananthapuram. The road will have pipelines underneath to alleviate water shortage. Once the survey is complete, a detailed report will be submitted to the district collector for land acquisition. The project, funded by KIIFB, will help ease traffic and provide water to the city. KWA plans to lay a pipeline from Neyyar to Kattakada and install a 120 MLD plant at Neyyar. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months.
