Kuttikkanam International Film Festival from Nov. 14

The seventh edition of the Kuttikkanam International Film Festival (KIFF) will take place at Marian College on November 14 and 15. The festival, organized by the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the college and the Medios Talkies Film Society, will focus on women-centered cinema under the theme ‘SHE’ (Stories of Her Empowerment). Actor Vincy Aloshious will inaugurate the event, which will showcase 16 films from various countries highlighting women’s challenges and struggles. There will be competitions for short films and documentaries with cash prizes, and notable directors, actors, and film personalities will be in attendance. Peerumade MLA Vazhoor Soman, College Principal Ajimon George, and others will also be present at the festival.
