Daily commuters in Thiruvananthapuram are upset with KSRTC’s decision to cancel electric bus services on certain routes in order to start inter-district services. The electric buses were part of the Smart City initiative and provided affordable and eco-friendly transportation within the city. However, since the transport minister’s role changed, some buses have been reassigned for inter-district travel, causing inconvenience to city residents who rely on them for daily commuting. Many commuters feel that the government should prioritize the needs of city residents over inter-district travel and hope that the decision will be reconsidered.
