In 2016, there was a blast at the Kollam Collectorate, and now, the District Principal Sessions Court has confirmed charges against three of the accused while acquitting the fourth. The convicted individuals are from Tamil Nadu and will be sentenced soon. The blast injured a man and was allegedly carried out by members of the Base Movement, linked to al-Qaeda. The case has been ongoing since 2016, with one of the accused turning approver. Over 60 witnesses were examined, and numerous documents and evidence were presented in court.
