Kochi cyber police arrest two on charges of making pirated copies of films



The Kochi city cyber police recently arrested two individuals for creating pirated copies of recent films, including popular movies like ARM and Vettaiyan. The accused, Praveen Kumar and Kumareshan, were caught in Bengaluru and brought back to Kochi. The cyber police also shut down their website, onetamilmv, where they uploaded the pirated films. The accused used mobile phones to record movies in theaters and uploaded them on their website for profit. The investigation is ongoing to uncover more individuals involved in the illegal operation. The arrested individuals have been charged under the Copyright Act and Cinematograph Act.
