The Kerala State Coir Corporation (KSCC) has received a new order worth ₹1.54 crore from Odisha Mining Corporation for supplying coir geotextiles. This comes after a successful pilot project in 2023 where the corporation supplied coir geotextiles to mines in Odisha. The chairman and managing director of KSCC stated that the corporation is focused on increasing the sale of coir geotextiles in the domestic market. Coir geotextiles are known for their durability and resistance to rots, moulds, moisture, and microbial attack. The corporation is dedicated to promoting this natural fabric in the market.
