Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticized the Congress for not taking a consistent stand against the BJP at the national level, which he believes has allowed the BJP to make gains in various State Assembly elections. He highlighted that efforts to consolidate anti-BJP forces were hindered by the Congress’ narrow vision and lack of cooperation in States where they had dominance. Mr. Vijayan expressed concern over the BJP’s return to power in states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Maharashtra due to the Congress’ inconsistent stand. He also noted the Congress’ opposition to the Aam Aadmi Party in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, instead of focusing on consolidating anti-BJP votes.
