The Kerala government is taking steps to improve the operations of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to make it profitable and beneficial for the public. Measures such as allowing depots to choose profitable routes, converting buses to CNG, and providing door-to-door courier services are being explored. Clean sanitation facilities in depots are also being improved in partnership with a non-profit organization. In preparation for the upcoming Sabarimala pilgrimage season, sufficient vehicles have been arranged. Despite challenges such as debts and employee issues, efforts are being made to address these issues and enhance the efficiency of KSRTC.
