KCL: Kcl Players Allege Bribe Offer To Fix Matches, Probe On |



In Thiruvananthapuram, the city police are investigating allegations made by two cricket players who claim they were approached by unknown individuals to fix matches in the Kerala Cricket League (KCL). The players revealed that they were offered bribes through Instagram and WhatsApp, with promises of Rs 1 lakh for each wide or no ball bowled and Rs 5 lakh for bowling an over as instructed. The police have registered cases and are working to identify the individuals behind the accounts that contacted the players. Both players, Akhil Scaria and Amal Ramesh, reported the incidents to their team integrity officers. The investigations are ongoing.
