Karnataka native falls prey to site selling fake Kerala lotteries online | Kerala News



Authorities in Kottayam are concerned about the increase in online sales of counterfeit lottery tickets after a man from Karnataka was scammed by a fake ‘Kerala Online Lottery’ website. The man thought he had won Rs 5 lakh but upon further inspection by a lottery agent, it was revealed that he had been duped. The fake website, operated by someone named Jithendra Chauhan, offers tickets for Rs 49 with false promises of big cash prizes. The Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries has stated that no websites are authorized to sell lottery tickets online.
