Kerala’s Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan criticized the District Collector for allowing a Communist Party leader to make corruption allegations against a late official at his farewell meeting. Satheesan questioned if the meeting schedule was changed to accommodate the accused party member. He accused the CPI(M) of fabricating the corruption allegation and called for an apology to the official’s family and the people of the State. The official, Naveen Babu, tragically died after the allegations were made.
