High-speed 5G services using Air Fibre technology have been launched in five remote indigenous villages in Kerala to help bridge the digital divide. The service was inaugurated online by Minister O.R. Kelu, connecting community study rooms in the villages. The initiative, a collaboration between the Scheduled Tribes Development department and Reliance Jio, will initially benefit villages in Wayanad, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, and Palakkad. Air Fibre technology ensures uninterrupted service even in adverse weather conditions, making it perfect for these remote areas. The high-speed Internet will enable educational and health classes, as well as vocational training for both students and adults in these villages.
