The Kerala High Court stated that the investigation into cases related to sexual assault and harassment, as highlighted in the Justice Hema Committee report, is progressing well. The government filed a report on the progress of the probe in 26 FIRs. The court appointed an amicus curiae to coordinate reports on sexual harassment in the film industry. The Advocate General mentioned that some complainants are not cooperating with the investigation. The State is preparing draft legislation on sexual harassment in the film industry. The court welcomed suggestions and clarified that it will not draft legislation, only make suggestions. The matter will be further heard on November 21.
