Gulf Air: Gulf Air Cuts Thiruvananthapuram-Manama Flights: Impact on Fares and Availability |

Gulf Air has decided to withdraw its daily flight service from Thiruvananthapuram to Manama on Tuesdays and Thursdays, citing seasonal route rationalization based on income. This move will reduce the number of available seats on the Middle East route, potentially leading to an increase in fares as the Middle East is a popular route from Kerala. The withdrawal of flights will also impact direct flights to Bahrain, affecting high-demand routes. This practice is common among foreign airlines during the winter schedule when there is low demand for seats, and they may redeploy flights on more profitable routes. Travel operators warn that this reduction in flights will lead to a shortage of seats and could result in higher fares for passengers.
