The state government in Thiruvananthapuram is planning to hold an educational convention on February 20 to discuss the potential impact of proposed changes in UGC regulations. Education experts and ministers from non-BJP states will participate. The convention will address concerns about the central government’s attempt to limit state governments’ authority in higher education. Additionally, the Kerala Network for Research Support in Higher Education (KNRSHE) and the Centre of Excellence for Teaching, Learning and Training (CETLT) will be launched to provide infrastructure and support for teachers and students in research centers across the state.
