The Calicut Heritage Forum organized a special event to honor the renowned historian K.V. Krishna Ayyar on his birth anniversary. Deepti Sreeram, a PhD student at Ashoka University, was awarded a scholarship in his memory for her research on the history and culture of Kerala. Ajayakumar Kodoth, a former member of the Kerala Public Service Commission, delivered a lecture on the political and personal journey of K. Madhavan, a freedom fighter and Communist leader. Kodoth shared details about Madhavan’s early involvement in the freedom struggle and his interactions with prominent figures like Mahatma Gandhi and A.K. Gopalan. The event highlighted the significant role of Kozhikode in shaping Madhavan’s political ideologies.
