Five killed in accidents in Thiruvananthapuram on Thiruvonam day

Five young people lost their lives in separate road accidents in Thiruvananthapuram district on Thiruvonam day. In one incident, three individuals were killed and two were critically injured when two motorcycles collided at Kurakkani Junction. The authorities attributed the accidents to violations of motor safety rules, such as one motorcycle carrying three riders and the other having a faulty headlight. Another incident involved a speeding motorcycle hitting a crowd, resulting in the death of a man who was there to celebrate Onam. Additionally, a biker lost his life after crashing into a tree near the Infosys campus. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
