FACT Professorship Chair established at Cusat

A FACT Chair Professorship was recently established in the Safety and Fire Engineering department at Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) by Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT). This initiative, as part of their corporate social responsibility, aims to promote research in industrial safety, health, and environment. The Chair Professorship is expected to enhance the academic and research environment, benefiting both students and the industry. The collaboration between industry and academia was emphasized by Cusat Vice-Chancellor P.G. Sankaran and Director (Technical) of FACT, K. Jayachandran. G. Madhu was appointed as the FACT Chair Professor, focusing on key areas like health, safety, and environment. The event was attended by various dignitaries from both organizations.
