Facility to check indoor air quality at Thiruvananthapuram airport



Union Minister Jitendra Singh unveiled an indoor air quality monitoring facility at Thiruvananthapuram airport, the first of its kind in India. Developed by CSIR-NIIST, the system called PavanaChitra is self-powered and capable of tracking various air quality parameters. This initiative highlights the government’s concern for the health of travelers and the importance of sustainable practices in addressing climate change. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd. stated that this installation is a unique blend of art and technology, showcasing the commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all passengers.
