ERCMPU to give 10% of its share value to members

At a general body meeting, Milma’s Ernakulam Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (ERCMPU) decided to give 10% of the value of its shares as a dividend to its members for the 2023-24 financial year. The cooperative societies in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, and Idukki will receive a total of ₹1.48 crore from the net profit of ₹8 crore. This dividend will be distributed along with the milk bills for October 1 to 10. The union achieved the net profit through various initiatives like performance surcharge, farmers’ welfare schemes, and financial grants for union members, in addition to procurement expenses and expansion activities.
