The Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes, O.R. Kelu, announced that the construction of an elephant wall at Aralam will be completed by March next year. He emphasized the importance of addressing human-animal conflict in the region through the ‘Anamathil’ project. Mr. Kelu urged various departments to expedite measures to ensure the timely completion of the project. He also instructed the Forest department to assess the feasibility of a hanging fencing project at the Aralam farm. Additionally, a State-level special committee and a district-level committee of experts will be formed to give administrative approval for projects in the SC and ST department.
