He spoke at a workshop on fishing vessel registration, survey, and certification, organized by the Department of Fisheries. Kurian emphasized the need for regulations to improve the livelihood of the fishing community and maximize marine fisheries resources. He also launched the Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training website. The workshop featured presentations from experts in the field, aiming to educate stakeholders on proper registration and certification processes.
