Centre yet to give final nod for KBIC, Global City projects, says Minister



The State of Kerala is aiming to develop itself as a hi-tech manufacturing hub in the country through the Kochi-Bengaluru industrial corridor project (KBIC) and the industrial smart city project in Palakkad. Industries Minister P. Rajeeve highlighted the State’s significant contribution to the medical devices industry and plans to leverage this advantage through the KBIC project. The State has completed all requirements for the project, but is awaiting final approval from the Centre. Land acquisition and other preparations have been completed, and the State is eager to move forward with the project. Additionally, there are plans for the Global City project as an extension of KBIC, with land already acquired for development.
