Caucus in CM’s office facilitated Divya’s bail: V.D. Satheesan

The Leader of the Opposition, V.D. Satheesan, has accused a group within the Chief Minister’s office of manipulating the release of former Kannur district panchayat president P.P. Divya on bail in connection with the death of ADM K. Naveen Babu. Satheesan alleged that the CPI(M) took action against Divya due to political pressure related to byelections, and accused them of discrediting Naveen’s family by falsely branding him as corrupt to justify Divya’s release. He criticized the government for trying to divert attention from its failures and highlighted public outrage over the BJP’s communal agenda and the Pinarayi government’s mismanagement. Satheesan also accused the government of shielding BJP leaders from corruption investigations.
