Cartoon conclave gets under way at Kochi college

The Inter-Collegiate State Cartoon Conclave titled ‘Doodle Days’ took place at Sacred Heart College in Kochi on September 30. Union Minister George Kurian expressed concern about the decline of political cartoons and emphasized the importance of raising awareness about them among the younger generation. The event, organized by the college’s School of Communications, Young Communicators, and the Kerala Cartoon Academy, featured a speech by Father Benny Nalkara and a book release by cartoonist Sukumar. The conclave aimed to celebrate and promote the art of cartoons in today’s digital age.
