Assamese girl to resume schooling on Monday

The 13-year-old girl from Assam who ran away from home and was found in Visakhapatnam will be returning to school in Kerala on Monday. She has been staying at the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare and will be attending Government Model Higher Secondary School for Girls in Pattom. Despite counseling, she has chosen not to return home with her parents due to alleged mistreatment by her mother. The girl is determined to stay in Kerala and not go back to Assam with her parents. She will continue to receive support and care from the district child welfare committee.
