Anvar’s front to support UDF in Palakkad, but to contest in Chelakkara

In Palakkad, the Democratic Movement of Kerala candidate Minhaj Medar had a road show with MLA P.V. Anwar. An LDF dissident MLA, Anvar, announced that his forum would support UDF candidate Rahul Mamkootathil in the by-election. Anvar wanted the UDF to withdraw their candidate in Chelakkara and field Mamkootathil in Palakkad as an independent. He made the announcement at a DMK convention, stating that they don’t want the BJP to win in Palakkad. Anvar is fighting against ‘Pinarayism’ in Chelakkara and will not withdraw his candidate there.
