Anti-incumbency is Congress’ hope and CPM’s woe in Chelakkara assembly bypoll



In Chelakkara, the upcoming Assembly by-election is heating up with CPM’s UR Pradeep facing tough competition from Congress’s Ramya Haridas and DMK’s NK Sudheer. The CPM has a stronghold in the area, but there are concerns about anti-government sentiments affecting Pradeep’s chances. The BJP’s candidate, K Balakrishnan, could also play a significant role in determining the outcome. With various parties working hard to secure victory, personal relationships may not be enough to sway voters, as the election seems to be more about a vote against the government than a vote for any particular candidate.
