Air India Express has started a new flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, giving people flying to the Middle East another option. The service will initially be available every Monday, departing Thiruvananthapuram at 7.55pm and reaching Riyadh at 10.40pm. The return flight departs Riyadh at 11.20pm and arrives in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesdays at 7.30am. This new service meets a long-standing demand from expatriates in Kerala and Tamil Nadu working in Saudi Arabia, and is expected to be especially beneficial during the upcoming Onam holidays. The airport is also increasing its frequency to other Middle Eastern destinations and adding more domestic flights.
