The government is considering taking action against K Gopalakrishnan, the director of the industries and commerce department, for allegedly creating a WhatsApp group based on religion. Chief Secretary Sharada Muraleedharan has requested a report from the state police chief after a forensic examination found no evidence of his phone being hacked. Gopalakrishnan had filed a complaint about his device being hacked after a controversial WhatsApp group was created using his number. Meanwhile, Agriculture Department Special Secretary N Prasanth is being asked to explain his insulting remarks towards his superior officer. Additionally, files related to the Unnathi initiative, meant for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, are reportedly missing.
