A culinary experiment at Govt. Arts College



Food enthusiast Alexandra Scherrer from Switzerland and Chribuna Viswas, head of the English department at Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram, hosted a session on ‘food practices’ as part of the undergraduate program. They explored how food can reflect cultural traditions, with Alexandra sharing her experience of cooking polenta from the Ticino region of Switzerland. The session introduced students to vocabulary related to food and cooking, showing the importance of innovative teaching methods. This event aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of different cultures through the lens of food.
