3 tigers found dead in Wayanad, Forest Min orders special probe | Onmanorama News

Three tiger carcasses were found in Wayanad, leading to the formation of a special team to investigate. The first carcass, a female tiger, was discovered in a coffee plantation, with initial assessments pointing to infighting as the cause of death. Two more tiger carcasses, a male and female, were found with suspicious injuries in the Thathoor section of the Kurichiad Forest Range. Wildlife officials speculate that territorial fights during mating season could be the reason for the deaths. A team led by Chief Conservator of Forests has been put together to look into the incident and submit a report within a month.
