At the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, a young innovator named Arav Agarwal from India presented his groundbreaking device, SAIL, designed to help the blind community locate misplaced items using sound cues. Arav’s presentation showcased how innovative solutions can greatly improve the daily lives of those in need. Despite being the youngest presenter among graduate and postgraduate students from prestigious universities, Arav’s passion and unique perspective impressed attendees. Alongside his technological pursuits, Arav is also dedicated to social impact through his NGO, Parivartan, which has received recognition and awards for its contributions to underserved communities. Arav’s vision of using technology to empower and uplift those facing challenges is evident through his work with SAIL and Parivartan, proving that age is no barrier to making a meaningful impact in the world.
