Yelahanka to Introduce a New Biodiversity Park: A Green Oasis in Bengaluru | Bengaluru News

The forest department in Bengaluru initially planned to set up another Cubbon Park-like lung space near Yelahanka, but later changed its plans and decided to establish a biodiversity park instead. This park will include a medicinal garden, aviary, zoo, and tree park within the existing 153 acres of eucalyptus tree plantation in Madappanahalli limits. Work on creating the biodiversity park will start by the end of November. The forest minister mentioned that north Bengaluru lacks a botanical garden like Lalbagh or Cubbon Park and emphasized the importance of creating green spaces in the area. The new park aims to provide a much-needed lung space for the residents of Yelahanka and surrounding areas.
