Wives of TSSP cops stage stir demanding equal work for husbands

The wives of constables from the 7th Battalion of Telangana State Special Police staged a protest in Nizambad, demanding equal work opportunities for their husbands. They claimed that discrimination in duty allotment was affecting their families, with their husbands being used as laborers with no official work provided. The protesters disrupted traffic on National Highway-44, calling for a standard 8-hour working day and expressing concerns about frequent transfers. BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao showed support for the police families and promised to raise the issue in the Assembly, leading to the protest being ended by 7th Battalion officials.
