Nidhi Gautam, a 19-year-old Delhi University student, recently served as the British High Commissioner to India for a day, as part of a competition held by the British High Commission to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child. Gautam, who is studying history and geography at Miranda House college, had a packed day filled with activities that gave her a firsthand look at diplomatic life and the UK-India partnership. She visited various institutions and met with government and industry partners, gaining valuable insights into the importance of technology in creating social benefits. The British High Commission emphasized its commitment to engaging with girls and promoting them as future leaders. Lindy Cameron, the British High Commissioner to India, praised Gautam for her inspiring contributions throughout the day.
