West Khasi Hills claims territorial rights over 54 Langpih villages



Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, came together in March 2022 to resolve six out of twelve areas of difference between the two states. This memorandum signifies a step towards peaceful resolution and cooperation between Assam and Meghalaya. It shows a commitment to working together for the betterment of both states and their people. The meeting highlights the importance of dialogue and compromise in resolving disputes and fostering good relations between neighboring regions.
