Water Crisis: Dmo Issues Directive | Thiruvananthapuram News



The district medical officer in Thiruvananthapuram has issued a directive to ensure the safety of available water due to a water supply disruption. It is advised to use only boiled water for drinking and to collect water in tanks, chlorinate it, and use it after settling. Chlorinated and purified water should be used for cooking, cleaning utensils, and washing hands and mouth. It is recommended to use boiled water for children, bedridden patients, and the elderly. Hotel owners and street vendors are urged to use only chlorinated water for cooking and cleaning utensils, and to provide boiled water for drinking. Boiled and purified water should be used for making ice, preparing juices, buttermilk, and chutneys.
