Villas, multi-storied buildings on govt land, buffer zones razed | Hyderabad News

HYDRAA recently conducted a demolition drive in Nalla Cheruvu area in Kukatpally and Ameenpur in Sangareddy to remove illegal constructions on the full tank levels and buffer zones of lakes. Structures built without permission were razed, but homes occupied by families were spared. In Kukatpally, 16 large sheds were demolished, while in Ameenpur, 4 acres of government land were restored. Some residents complained about the lack of notice and time given to vacate the premises. HYDRAA’s goal is to protect water sources and public properties by clearing unauthorized structures.
